How To God Journal And Get Your Prayers Answered

I am a breast cancer survivor and because of spending nearly 3 years in the hospital trying to stay alive, I can tell you from my heart that it is only because of the grace of God that I am alive today.
I've read many excellent books that taught me how to find God, but at the time of my illness I wasn't too sure He even existed, so I took God with a grain of salt. It's one thing to read about God, but it's another to have actual proof.
I promise, if you will start a God Journal and write down your current problem in that journal you will begin almost immediately to see results and answers to your prayers. Here's how I did it.
I bought a really pretty lined book and an exquisite God Journaling Pen and whenever I had a problem I would write it in my God Journal. My most recent entry went something like this:
QUESTION: Dear God, please help Kevin (my husband) and I stop yelling at each other when we argue.
ANSWER: I began laying quietly on my bed for a period of peaceful time with God, also known as meditation. Within 10 minutes I "heard" People who disrespect each other are broken. Babies are not born with a broken spirit, they learn it as they are growing up. You must both fix your broken spirits before the yelling will stop.
Wow! You could have blown me over with a feather. God talked to me and the answer made perfect sense. It was so logical and right that I could have wept for joy. God knows me! God loves me and he wants to help me! Hallelujah. I've never felt more loved in my life and as a result that love spilled out of my body and over to my husband. God did for us what we couldn't do for ourselves.
I explained to Kevin what I had just learned. He paused awhile, reflecting on his own upbringing and agreed - a broken spirit is the cause behind our yelling.
So I looked my question up in the bible to see if there was anything truthful about what I had just heard. It felt truthful, but I wanted to be sure. And here's what I found about broken spirits:
PSALMS 34:18 The Lord is close to the broken-hearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Honestly, this was all the proof I needed or wanted. It proved to me that God knows my condition and yours, and is close enough to help us. We just have to ask.
